1 Month at the University of Pennsylvania Update + Important Announcement!!

In light of the current college application season, I will be editing college essays for free (no strings attached!). If you want me to edit your essays, please let me know in the comment section below, and I'll reach out to you as to where to send your essays. Do not use the 'Contact' tab on the home page to contact me because it is currently not working. Like I said before, the best way to contact me is by commenting on this post.  I am a current freshman at the University of Pennsylvania (completely done with my college applications), and all essays will be deleted from my device after I finish editing them. Therefore, you do not need to worry about whether or not your essays will be plagiarized or used without your consent. I sincerely want to help you as much as I possibly could as you work on your college applications.  All the best! -Kristine __________________________________________________________________________________ Wow! Where Am I Heading to College? (It's been a long time)

Hey guys!!! It's been quite a while since I last posted on this blog, and quite a lot has changed since then. The current state of the US and the world, with the coronavirus and the brutal death of George Floyd, is crazy. I hope you all stay safe and don't forget to wear a mask! I have been so inconsistent in posting on this blog that many of you have little to no idea where I am going to college. If you want to hear more about my extraordinarily unique college application and decision experience, please let me know! Anyhow, I know all of you have been waiting for where I plan to attend college this year. After all, I did not even tell you the schools I applied to... I am glad to say that I will be attending the University of Pennsylvania this fall, majoring in biology and on the pre-med track (obviously!). I am beyond blessed and grateful for this opportunity God has given me. I cannot wait to spend my next four years at Penn! As for this blog, I am no longer a 'pre

To all the seniors around the world...

Congratulations! You have made it this far. Some of you have just received your decisions, others are waiting anxiously for college decisions, and many of you are still working on your applications. No matter which stage you are in, I wish you all the best, and I encourage you to keep on pushing on. By now, senioritis is probably kicking in -- you are not alone! Just keep pushing yourself to do your best -- you did it before and you can do it again. The college application process is such a weird stage. At times you feel hopeful that you will get into your reach school, other times you feel like you cannot even get into a college. Surround yourselves with the right people, the people who will make you optimistic and encourage you in your endeavors. Positivity is the key, while negativity is not. Also, I encourage you to stay off those 'Chance me' posts on Reddit or College Confidential. Reading them only makes you question your chances at getting into your dream school.

LIFE UPDATE: What's Going On With Me?

Probably many of you are asking: what in the world has happened to me? That's a completely valid question because after all, I haven't posted in about nine months. So what actually happened in those nine months? Junior year. I know I'm probably making an excuse as to why I haven't posted in such a long time, but please hear me out. Many things happened in Junior year. For one, I was busy studying for the SAT and the ACT (if you want more information on my experience with both standardized tests, please let me know). 11th grade was also the year when I started to become more active in my school (a little too late, don't you think?). Aside from having leadership positions in National Honors Society and Math National Honors Society, I co-founded a middle school Science Club and am currently in the midst of co-founding a library at my school. Busy year, right? Now that I've read through what I wrote, I realize that I am probably making the biggest excuse in my l

The Debate of the Decade: Should Doctors Amputate Healthy Limbs?

Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID) has sparked controversy in the medical field for the past decade. When I found out about this disorder, I thought it logical to bring the issue on this blog.  ____________________________  So what is BIID? B ody Integrity Identity Disorder, also known as Amputee Identity Disorder, is a psychological disorder in which a person has a strong desire to be an amputee. In simple words, BIID is a disorder that causes those who have it to believe a part of their body does not belong to t hem. That gives them the desire to amputate that perfectly healthy limb.  The dangerous side of the issue is that people with BIID may take drastic measures to amputate their unwanted limb. And let's just say it can get unreservedly brutal. People raise up the solution as to whether doctors should perform the amputation in a safe and less brutal environment. However, any surgeon who performs an amputation on a healthy limb can undoubtedly put his/her licen
